Red Golden Flame Canna Offers an Exciting Flower Color
An aptly named midsize canna!
Cannova is a series of canna plants with bold colors and notably tall flower stems that bring their tropical-looking blooms into prominence amid their broad foliage. The newest Cannova canna is called 'Red Golden Flame', a fitting name that describes its mid- to late-summer bloom. This variety of canna received very high marks in garden trials at Pennsylvania State University and the University of Georgia.

Flowers: 'Red Golden Flame' canna blooms in clusters of large flowers with fire-engine red petals. A thick gold edge rings each petal. The stems supporting the flowers is tall and sturdy, ensuring that the blossoms do to get lost in the foliage.
Foliage: The broad, upright leaves are solid green.
Habit: This canna grows as an upright clump of foliage reaching three to four feet tall and half as wide.

How to grow it: Like all cannas 'Red Golden Flame' prefers rich soil and copious water. Cannas thrive with consistently moist soil and they can thrive in wet soil and standing water. Site it in full sun. Winter hardy to USDA Zone 7 and warmer, it can be treated as an annual in colder zones or wintered dormant indoors.
