Plants We Love, Petite Pillar Dwarf Boxwood

We love that this new boxwood from Monrovia requires little to no shearing to keep its gorgeous shape. Given its compact size, we can see sneaking it into all places around the garden, from the entryway to a space that needs a touch of year-round green, or to create a diminutive hedge and of course in a decorative container. Don’t let the name Petite fool you. It may be small, but it packs a big garden design punch!

Requires regular watering weekly if not more often in the extreme heat of summer. Prefers full sun or mostly sunny spots in the garden and should be planted in a well-draining, rich soil. Monrovia recommends fertilizing with a general-purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in the spring.
