i’m also a shopkeeper
Before I took on my current role with Horticulture I was the managing editor of the magazine. My focus then was on the print product, and my duties were similar to an air-traffic controller’s whose job it was to make sure it was smooth flying for every issue from making assignments to sending the files off to the printer. Now I include “shopkeeper” among my responsibilities.
For those of you who don't know the story, before I took on my current role with Horticulture I was the managing editor of the magazine. My focus then was on the print product, and my duties were similar to an air-traffic controller's whose job it was to make sure it was smooth flying for every issue from making assignments to sending the files off to the printer. Now I include "shopkeeper" among my responsibilities.
Today I am the publisher and community leader of Horticulture. In this new role I oversee the entirety of the business from the magazine (as the central hub) to advertising, marketing, the Website, webinars, and the Horticulture shop—better known as GardenersHub.com. I'm still something of an air-traffic controller but there are a lot more "airplanes" to keep airborne (and I love it!).
In recent months we've added thousands of items to the shop, and we strive to bring in products we know and trust so that you'll find all you need in one place. Call me crazy but I want GardenersHub.com to become the Amazon.com of gardening! Right now you'll find CobraHead, Womanswork, H. Potter and Clarington Forge products in the Hub. Plus, you have access to a library of gardening books that will satisfy your every want and need. But there's more to come, so bookmark the Hub and stop back often to see what's new.
Today is Cyber Monday (who thinks up these "holidays?!"), but as a good cyber-shopkeeper I have a special offer for you: Shop GardenersHub.com today and receive $5 flat shipping on all orders of $30 or more (This offer expires at 11:59pm ET 11/29, so don't wait!) So if you ignored the mall on Black Friday and didn't participate in Small Business Saturday you still have today (Cyber Monday!) to join the fun.
Please leave a comment here if you have a special product you'd like us to include at GardenersHub.com and I'll see what I can do to bring it to you. Because no matter whether it's the magazine, the Website or the store, I want you to find everything you need to make your garden(ing) the best that it can be. When you shop through GardenersHub you help support the entire Horticulture community, and for that I thank you most sincerely.
Wishing you peace on the garden path,
Patty
