Edible Spotlight: Sweet Baby Radish

The All-America Selections judges were impressed with the exterior and interior color of Sweet Baby as well as its consistent shape and size. This is a quick-growing radish that reaches maturity in 40 to 45 days.

Foliage: green
Fruit: exterior purple, interior white to white with pink and purple
Fruit shape: oval
Height: 10-24 inches
Habit: upright

Once the soil is warm and can be worked in the spring, direct sow seeds half an inch deep and 1.5 to 2 inches apart. When tops emerge, pull every other plant. For a continuous harvest, direct-sow seeds each week as long as 45 days remain until the expected last harvest day/hard frost.
